In Steel Project Engineering we are oriented towards structural design in the civil, industrial and infrastructural fields and we pay a special attention to the assembling and launching phases, such as to the design of special equipment. The focus of our consulting and design services is on medium and large projects on behalf of engineering firms and companies, public administrations, general construction companies or specialized in metal works ones.
During the last 20 years, we have developed an autonomous path in design process, made up of direct and solid relationships with construction companies and engineering firms. With the recent openings to foreign markets, we have evolved further, achieving a recognized role in the field of structural engineering.

Our engineering firm is structured to follow the design process of a work as a whole, from the technical-economic feasibility evaluation to the final optimization of a detailed design. Eng. Giovanni Costa
This studio was founded in 2008 and is the goal of my personal experience as a structural designer, which began in 1999 and consolidated with major construction companies and engineering firms. From the degree in Engineering to today, I have dedicated commitment and perseverance to the study of numerous steelwork structures, forging a specialized yet flexible design ability that is open to the encounter with works in wood, concrete and other materials. The experience on site along with the work in office, allowed me to develop a unique design methodology, sensitive from the earliest stages of the project to the final aspects of manufacturing detailing and assembling phases.
Eng. Leonardo Balocchi
After graduating in Structural Engineering at the University of Pisa in October 2015 with a thesis on the launching of metal decks, I immediately started working alongside Eng. Giovanni Costa facing the design of various structures such as civil and industrial buildings, curtain walls, bridges, assemblies and special equipment. During my design activity I dealt with various materials and types of structures, gaining a strong specialization in the field of metal structures. The continuous growth of the design firm, led in 2019 to the birth of the Steel Project Engineering of which I have been an associate ever since. Along with the design activity, I collaborated with institutions such as the University of Pisa and various organizations promoting the use of steel as a dissertation supervisor ad a speaker for workshops.
