At the links below there are some very interesting videos of the lifting phases of the two metal decks built inside the AFV Beltrame plant in Vicenza; on the occasion of the launch, some engineers from Steel Project went to the construction site to witness the completion of the installation of the two metal decks intended for road and railway use respectively.

Steel Project Engineering took care of the structural executive design of the metal decks and the reinforced concrete substructures with relative pile foundations.

A fixed appointment for Steel Project since 2021, the year in which certification for the UNI EN ISO9001 standard was acquired, is the Management Review, which is carried out at least once a year. On this occasion, all company indicators and KPIs are monitored, which allow various aspects to be kept under control (environment, workplace safety, quality, etc.) and the improvement objectives for the following year are defined.
Among the improvement objectives of Steel Project Engineering for the year 2024, we find adhesion to a virtuous ZeroC02 project, thanks to which, through the purchase of trees in disadvantaged countries, we contribute to environmental protection while also bringing important benefits regarding the social aspect. We reached our goal at the beginning of July, planting 100 trees, located respectively in Tanzania (50 trees) and Guatemala (50 trees).
In Tanzania, a region where water is a limited resource and is subject to erosion and desertification, the priority was to combat these phenomena. At the same time we have also promoted the female empowerment of women from the Masaai communities, creating more independence for women and food autonomy.
In Guatemala our trees are important allies for the defense of biodiversity and natural habitats in the Petén, and help absorb the C02 emitted by human activities.

On the occasion of the World Day for Nature Conservation which will be held on July 28th, we donated a tree to each of our collaborators and employees, hoping to encourage increasingly important attention to the environment and perhaps stimulate other realities like ours. take part in projects aimed at environmental protection with also social impact.

The launching of the Mincio viaduct has been completed as part of the construction works of the HS/HC Brescia Est – Verona railway line.
A 320 meter viaduct characterized by a particular push launching method in multiple time phases. Steel Project Engineering developed on behalf of Cimolai S.p.A. the Decks Launching Project.
The object of the launching are the three metal spans (50m + 72m + 50m) of the eight that overall make up the railway bridge deck.
The metal girders are 3.2 m high, with the exception of the central one which has a variable height between 3.20m and 4.80m and are made up of a rectilinear trapezoidal box deck in a steel-concrete composite system.
The launching was carried out using a pulling system consisting of a hydraulic jack and a strand cable connected at one end to a fixed point and at the other to the intrados of the caisson.

The bridge was made to slide on roller conveyors located on the definitive and temporary piers and on the launching field. During the launching procedure, adjustments were made to the forearm and the height adjustments of the struts on which the roller conveyors rested, in order to proceed with the advancements, adapting correctly to the shape of the bridge’s intrados. In relation to our news of 04/08/24 we must rectify incorrect information regarding the delivery of the works: due to a typo in the text, the operational date of the new Serchio Bridge was erroneously indicated as Summer 2025.

Completion of the works is contractually scheduled for October 2024.
