P5k elevated walkway
Detailed Design of Block 5 Bridge Structures.
The works are part of the project to build a five kilometer (5k) elevated walkway around London’s Greenwich Peninsula. The elevated path is made up of several “islands” (1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 5A), connected to each other by pedestrian walkways.

Most of the structures are steel and painted structures. They present an aesthetic with extremely innovative forms and their design required a particular study with regard to the fittings, which are not in view.
The core, the foundation slabs and the pier caps are made of reinforced concrete (RC).
