Bridge over the river Ombrone River
Design of a cycle-pedestrian over the river Ombrone.
The steel arched pedestrian bridge over the river Ombrone consists of a deck with 2 main beams connected to the arch by a series of hangers converging to the center. The main beams have a welded C- section are connected by I-section diaphragms 2 m-spaced.
The hangers are realized with from full locked coils with a diameter of 20 mm connected to bridge by an adjustable element, the other end is fixed. The deck is realized with a mixed slab made of corrugated sheet with a concrete casting.
The main geometrical features are :
• Deck Total Span . 72 m
• Height of the arches about 15.00m
• Effective width of the deck 3.50m
