Parco delle Esposizioni (PEX) station – Line 17

We share with you an interesting video from the Grand Paris Express company in which the work progress of the new Parco delle Esposizioni (PEX) station on line 17 is shown:  https://www.linkedin.com/posts/grand-paris-express

In this project, Steel Project Engineering is developing the Executive Design of the ” Gare du Parc des Expositions” and the “Passerelle” which connects the areas adjacent to the existing railway to the new elevated station and the Exhibition Park.
The station is crossed by the viaduct on which trains circulate and whose structures are independent from those of the building. The station structure extends over a width of approximately 28 meters (overall) and a length of approximately 181 m (without expansion joints), on 4 levels. The pedestrian walkway instead develops on a complex plan with access ramps/lifts and a surface area of 1615 m2; given the particular structural slenderness of the walkway, the appropriate dynamic analyzes were carried out to calibrate the dynamic properties of the TMD and damper system and guarantee dynamic comfort in the walkway.
